mm-Wave Coaxial Horn Antenna from 6 to 67 GHz

mm-Wave Coaxial Horn Antenna from 6 to 67 GHz

RFspin, a Czech based pioneer in broadband horn antennas, has announced a unique, extremely broadband millimeter-wave antenna (QRH67) capable of continuous frequency coverage from 6 to 67 GHz using coaxial input and output connectors. The model QRH67 is a dual-polarized horn antenna able to transmit and receive signals with high sensitivity across the full 61 GHz bandwidth. Rather than using larger waveguide interconnections, the horn antenna features 1.85-mm coaxial connections for continuous frequency coverage with low VSWR (less than 2.0:1) across its full frequency range. This 50 Ω antenna can handle input power levels as high as 5 W CW and 10 W peak.

The compact antenna is ideal for a wide range of millimeter-wave applications, including for line-of-sight (LOS) communications links, aerospace and defense systems, scientific research, and medical electronics systems. It is especially useful for broadband test applications, including evaluating automotive millimeter-wave radar systems and over-the-air (OTA) testing of Fifth Generation (5G) cellular wireless microcells operating above 6 GHz.

Represented by Impulse Technologies, in the United States RFspin is a strong player mainly in the area of broadband horn antennas that cover the frequency range from 200 MHz to 110 GHz and further offers diversified lines of active and passive RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave components, including amplifiers and power dividers/combiners. In addition, the company provides coaxial cables and waveguide-to-coaxial adapters.

Impulse Technologies serves a wide range of markets, including aerospace, commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific research, representing leading technology developers such as RFspin. In addition to offering extensive product lines from the companies it represents, Impulse backs its wide inventory and global reach with outstanding professional services, including engineering, export licensing, repair, and testing.
