4 GHz to 8 GHz Cavity Backed Spiral Antenna OBS-4080
$1235
The OBS-4080 is a compact, cavity-backed spiral antenna designed for high-performance transmission and reception across the 4.0 GHz to 8.0 GHz frequency range. With moderate gain and VSWR, this circularly polarized antenna provides an excellent impedance match and radiation pattern.
Key features of this antenna include the ability to receive both linearly and circularly polarized signals, with linear gain approximately 3 dB lower than circular gain. Its low-profile design, planar aperture, minimal phase center offset, flexibility for carrying, and lightweight and symmetrical radiation beam width ensure consistent performance across the entire frequency band. The antenna’s outermost dimensions are a diameter of 68mm and a height of 50mm.
With these advantages, it is ideal for a variety of demanding applications. First of all, one of its key strengths lies in enabling high-resolution radar and imaging, make it perfect for weather radar, ground-mapping radar, and airborne surveillance systems, where detailed imaging and accurate detection are critical. In addition, this antenna also excels in shorter-range, high-capacity communication, supporting high-speed data transmission over shorter distances. It is widely used in point-to-point microwave links and military communication systems that demand secure, fast communication. For target tracking and precision radar applications, particularly in military and aerospace sectors, the higher frequency of this antenna offers superior accuracy. Last but not least, it plays a key role in electronic warfare (EW), where it is employed in jamming or disrupting enemy radar and communication systems, enhancing defense strategies.
