8 GHz to 18 GHz Cavity Backed Spiral Antenna OBS-80180
$1295
The OBS-80180 is a compact, cavity-backed spiral antenna designed for high-performance transmission and reception across the 8.0 GHz to 18.0 GHz frequency range. With moderate gain and VSWR, this circularly polarized antenna provides an excellent impedance match and radiation pattern.
Key features of this antenna include the ability to receive both linearly and circularly polarized signals, with linear gain approximately 3 dB lower than circular gain. Its low-profile design, planar aperture, minimal phase center offset, flexibility for carrying, and lightweight and symmetrical radiation beam width ensure consistent performance across the entire frequency band. The antenna’s outermost dimensions are a diameter of 68mm and a height of 50mm.
With all the above advantages, it is ideal for a variety of demanding applications. In high-resolution radar systems, it enhances detection and precision, making it ideal for ground-mapping radar, airborne surveillance, and military tracking systems, where pinpoint accuracy and the ability to detect smaller targets are essential. This antenna also supports shorter-range, high-capacity communication, offering high bandwidth and data rates for point-to-point microwave communication links, military data links, and other high-speed communication systems that require reliable, fast transmission over shorter distances. For precision targeting and imaging, especially in military applications, the 8-18GHz range ensures high accuracy, making it a key component in precision-guided radar systems and imaging technologies. Lastly, it is widely used in electronic warfare (EW) to jam or disrupt enemy radar and communication systems, delivering focused jamming and pinpoint accuracy in tactical operations.
