Description

With a frequency range from 3.5GHz to 8GHz, the OBH-350D-15 supports Single Linear polarized waveforms and features a unique ridge design that plays a critical role in managing side lobes for specific frequencies. The ridge structure allows the antenna to extend its single-mode operational bandwidth before higher-order modes occur, offering consistent performance over a wide range of frequencies. The antenna provides high gain, and low VSWR, and can handle up to 10 watts of power, making it a versatile and efficient performer. Inside the horn, two polygons, matching the thickness of the waveguide ridges, act as novel ridges, contributing to the antenna’s efficiency and signal integrity.

The antenna’s gain increases with frequency, reaching up to 16 dBi, depending on the size and shape of the horn, helping to offset cable losses. Despite its high performance, OBH-350D-15 is incredibly lightweight, weighing only 800g, and lighter than an ordinary backpack.

OBH-350D-15 is highly versatile and suited for several advanced applications. Firstly, it plays a critical role in 5G communication testing, particularly for Sub-6GHz 5G applications, where faster data transmission is crucial. The antenna is also ideal for Wi-Fi and WLAN testing, covering the Wi-Fi 6 (5GHz band), making it suitable for testing modern Wi-Fi networks and wireless local area networks (WLAN). Additionally, it supports microwave communication systems, commonly used in point-to-point communication links and radar systems. Its frequency range is particularly useful for radar applications in airborne, military, and weather radar systems. The antenna is also effective in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, especially in higher frequency ranges, ensuring devices comply with emission and immunity standards. Furthermore, it can cover part of the X-band, making it applicable to certain satellite communications and radar systems operating within this frequency range .Multi Octave Horn Antenna:https://www.rfecho.com/product-category/rf-antenna/multi-octave-horn-antenna/
