2020 IEEE Texas Symposium on Wireless & Microwave Circuits to be held Virtually
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a number of RF & Microwave events to be cancelled, postponed or go online. The 2020 IEEE Texas Symposium WMCS which was scheduled to take place in Texas from 26-28 May, 2020 will now be taking place virtually. The conference will be free for everyone except the authors of accepted papers. As a result the virtual event might attract more attendees than the physical conference.
The conference is devoted to a wide variety of topical areas, including:
- RF and microwave circuits and systems
- 5G and millimeter-wave wireless technologies
- Wireless technologies for biomedical applications
- Antennas, propagation, and electromagnetics
- Spectrum management and coexistence
- Devices, modeling, testing and measurement techniques
- Microwave applied metrology
- Wireless power transfer
- Electromagnetic materials and modeling
- Wireless or optical communications
- Photonics
- Radar and sensing
- Internet of Things
- Emerging wireless technologies
In addition to the paper presentation sessions, the symposium includes a plenary talk from Prof. Linda P. B. Katehi, Department of ECE Texas A&M University, several invited talks and tutorials, an exhibition, an RF Measurement Tutorial, and a student poster competition for both graduate and undergraduate students. Awards will be given for the best poster presentations.
Instructions for how to login and attend the conference will be posted on the website soon.The deadline for submitting abstracts for the Student Poster Competition has been extended to May 15, 2020.
